Neymar reportedly demanded that Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus be fired, and the Brazilian star has responded to the charges.
The rumors that Neymar was having issues with Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus first surfaced last week. Even that the Brazilian superstar had demanded Jesus’ resignation was asserted. According to a now-viral Instagram post, Neymar and the trainer had been “fighting” and Neymar had requested that the manager of the squad fire the coach “immediately.”
“Lies… Y’all got to stop believing these things, pages like this… with millions of followers you can’t keep posting fake news,” commented Neymar in response to the post. I beg you to stop, with all due respect in the world. This is quite disrespectful.
Earlier this summer, Jorge Jesus was selected to serve as Al Hilal’s coach. During the 2018–19 season, the Portuguese has led Al Hilal to the Saudi Super Cup victory. Jesus won the Turkish Cup during the 2022–23 season, assisting Fenerbahce in winning their first title in nine years. Under Jesus’ direction, Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Super League. Ramon Diaz was replaced as the Al Hilal coach by Jesus.
Neymar has yet to put on a good performance while wearing an Al Hilal jersey. Along with other former Premier League players including Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Kalidou Koulibaly, Neymar joined Al Hilal during the summer transfer window.
Neymar has made three appearances with the Saudi Pro League team, although he has yet to score a goal. Overall, the 31-year-old has twice been able to play the full 90 minutes since arriving in Saudi Arabia this summer.
Neymar appears to have fully regained his fitness after missing the beginning of the season due to injury. In his previous two appearances at Al Hilal, he completed 90 minutes. The Brazilian superstar has also so far recorded two assists while wearing an Al Hilal jersey.
Jorge Jesus’ team is in second place in the rankings and has not yet suffered a loss in the Saudi Pro League. Al Hilal presently trail league leaders Al Ittihad by one point. Al Hilal will play Al Jabalain in their upcoming King Cup of Champions match on Monday.
